Economic Comparison Democrat states have higher income inequality than red states as measured by the GINI Index. Democrat states have worse employment and debt. Debt, employment, income inequality, and median income all fare better when Republicans run Congress than when Democrats do. Fair education through vouchers using a national education pool is opposed by Democrats. Zoning deregulation allowing the poor to build affordably on land is opposed by Democrats. Increased employment opportunities by embargoing low-minimum-wage countries like China and Vietnam and maintaining the minimum wage at current levels (since minimum wage increases destroy millions of small business jobs, force U.S. jobs overseas to low wage countries, and consistently spark recessions) would provide greater income equality to the poor but such measures are opposed by Democrats. Democrat policies are driving income inequality which is why blue states have more income inequality than red states.
